InterActing has developed Promenade Theatre Techniques for use by heritage guides and “Discovery Events” to enhance integration in divided communities.
InterActing is a founding member of the European Association of Training Providers and have a network of thousands of teachers throughout Europe.
The company was formed in 2015 by Ed Cousins, Patrick Deas and John Harris. The directors of the company have considerable experience in the Secondary and Further Education sector, Teacher Training and Adult and Community Education.

Have you ever wanted to put together your own interactive “Cultural Heritage Tour”? Would you like to spice up your historical walks with a little “theatre” ? Not too sure where to begin? This short course will provide some of the answers and skills, and hopefully the confidence to begin.
This workshop is organised by InterActing UK in collaboration with the Friends of Stockton and Darlington Railway, and funded by Stockton Borough Council.
We’ll get to grips with Promenade Theatre and look at street performance, different narrative styles, techniques of interaction, health and safety issues, how to engage your audience, and most importantly how to keep their attention throughout your tour.
Coffee, tea, water, juice, sandwiches and fruit will be provided by InterActing UK.

1.30 pm Techniques of Walk and Talk, narrative styles.

The shows will be interactive, humorous, historical and mythical, designed to educate and entertain in equal measure.
